Turn a rooftop terrace into a beautiful little garden for flowers, vegetables and fruit trees

In the city, having a large balcony is already good enough. If you have a large terrace or rooftop platform, be sure not to waste it. With a bit of simple design and tending, a bare rooftop can also be transformed into a beautiful and cozy little garden where you can plant whatever you like. How should a rooftop garden be designed well? What flowers, grasses and plants can be grown?
First and most important is the waterproofing of the top floor. Generally, the top floor already has waterproofing done, and it just needs simple reinforcement.
You can use some wooden boards, old wooden strips and discarded wooden crates yourself, find some nails, and make them into planting beds, which are very convenient for growing vegetables and flowers.
Plant a large vat of water lilies and keep a few goldfish, which is fun and good-looking. Moreover, the vat can collect rainwater when it rains, to water the flowers and plants.
Build a beautiful trellis, and let Chinese roses, Chinese trumpet creeper, honeysuckle and clematis cover the trellis.
You can also plant a kiwifruit or grape vine, and sit under the tree to pick fruit and eat it. Just thinking about it feels so pleasant.
Plant a bougainvillea, and it covers half the trellis, blooming so abundantly.
Put out a few tables and chairs, place a round table. On a summer evening, sitting in the little rooftop garden, smelling the fragrance of flowers, drinking some tea and looking at the starry sky, life feels especially beautiful.
If there is extra space, you can also fill in a patch of lawn, giving the feeling of walking in the countryside, with green grass all year round.
You can also mix and match and remodel it yourself, so that the dull rooftop is no longer dull, but becomes lively and interesting.
As long as you are willing to put in the effort, anywhere can become spring, creating a cozy activity space for yourself.
