Many people are especially fond of jasmine, gardenia and bougainvillea. They bloom in great abundance, have a rich fragrance and offer very high ornamental value, and summer is the season when they bloom most vigorously. Some flower lovers complain that they do not know what is best to use to grow them. Today Hua'er will introduce one thing to everyone: use "it" to grow flowers, and they will bloom all over their branches with lush green leaves, super beautiful!

The "it" mentioned here is watermelon rind. Summer is the peak season for watermelons, and they are also our favorite, but after the melon is eaten, it is too much of a pity to throw away the leftover rind. It is just perfect for growing flowers, especially for growing jasmine, gardenia and bougainvillea, and it works even better than special flower fertilizer.

Watermelon rind is very rich in nutrients, containing nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium and so on, providing plenty of nutrients for flowers. It also contains many amino acids, which can create an acidic environment for the flowers and let them grow better.

Specific method: collect watermelon rind, remove the red flesh and the outer skin together, then cut it all into small pieces, the finer the better, as it ferments faster, then put it into a large container, add clean water, keep the ratio at 1:10, then drip in a little insecticide, seal it and put it under the sun to bake.

Watermelon rind rots and ferments very quickly in summer. During fermentation it continuously produces gas, so it needs to be aired out every 3-5 days, and fermentation is complete in about half a month.

When using it, filter it first, then mix and dilute it with water. For watering, dilute it 10 times and pour it into the potting soil of jasmine, gardenia and bougainvillea to let them grow like crazy and bloom addictively; or dilute it 20 times, pour it into a fine-nozzle spray bottle, and spray it onto the branches and leaves, spraying both sides evenly, which can make the leaves even more emerald green and glossy. One thing to note: it must not be sprayed onto the flowers, otherwise it can easily cause the flowers to rot.

That is all for the flower-growing tips. If flower lovers have anything to add, you can share it with everyone in the comment section below. If you want to learn more about growing flowers, you can follow Huajianke!
