Wax begonia is a succulent herbaceous plant with graceful form, tender and glossy leaves, and clusters of flowers. It can bloom in all four seasons and carries a faint fresh fragrance. It is very beautiful and deeply loved by many flower enthusiasts.

I know an old flower farmer who especially loves growing wax begonia. Every pot of wax begonia he grows bursts with growth, with abundant and brilliant blooms, super beautiful. I asked him for some tips, and today I will share them with everyone, so your wax begonia can also grow like crazy and bloom all over the branches!

Plant growth cannot do without fertilizer. Wax begonia likes organic fertilizer with strong lasting effects. Besides adding some base fertilizer each time you pot it or change the potting soil, during the peak period of growth and flowering, you also need to bury some organic fertilizer in the potting soil as base fertilizer. The best base fertilizer for growing wax begonia is okara, which contains large amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and is rich in some trace elements. It can continuously provide nutrients and promote growth and flowering.

Specific method: you can use the okara filtered out from making soy milk, or the simplest way is to buy some okara from the boss who sells tofu. Prepare a large container (preferably with a lid), put the okara in, then add some orange peel, watermelon rind, etc. to speed up fermentation. Before putting them in, chop them first, then add a small amount of water, tighten the lid and place it under the sun to bake.

During fermentation, gas will be produced, so let it breathe every 3-5 days. In summer, about half a month of fermentation is enough.

For the fermented okara, first filter off the water. It can be diluted 20 times to grow flowers, and the effect is also very good. Spread the fermented okara out under the sun to bake. After it is completely dry, grind it into powder for use.

Dig a shallow ring of trench near the edge of the wax begonia flower pot, then sprinkle the okara in, cover it with soil, and bury it once about every two months. This can make the wax begonia grow very well, with clusters of flowers, large and brilliant.

The care of wax begonia is introduced here. If flower enthusiasts have other additions, you can share them with everyone in the comment section below. If you want to learn more about flower growing, you can follow Huajianke!
