Don't Worry About Yellow Leaves on Pothos: Mix a Little Granules with Beer and the Leaves Turn Green Instantly

People who grow pothos do so because its leaves stay lush and green all year round, giving it high ornamental value. But anyone who has grown pothos knows that it is especially prone to yellowing leaves, which instantly reduces its ornamental value. So, is there a good way to make yellowed pothos leaves turn green instantly?
The answer is: mix a little "granules" into beer, dilute it, and water the pothos with it, and the yellowed leaves will turn lush green instantly. These "granules" are ferrous sulfate and monopotassium phosphate. So how do you use them?
1. Ferrous sulfate
It is very simple. Gardeners can mix leftover beer diluted 250 times with a 1‰ ferrous sulfate solution and spray it on both the front and back of the pothos stems and leaves, which can effectively prevent and control chlorosis in pothos. Generally, spray this mixed solution once every 3-5 days, and after three consecutive sprays, results will be visible. After mixing with beer, the effect is better than using ferrous sulfate alone.
In addition, to prevent the pothos from yellowing leaves all the time, gardeners need to replenish nutrients in time. Use an organic liquid fertilizer specially made for pothos, diluted 500 times, and water the roots with it once every 7 days, then dilute it 1000 times with water and spray the leaves. The pothos will not only avoid yellowing leaves, but also grow thick branches and large leaves.
2. Monopotassium phosphate
Mixing beer with these "granules" of monopotassium phosphate can also enhance the growth of the pothos plant and replenish nutrients. Gardeners can also use leftover beer diluted 250 times plus 0.5% monopotassium phosphate solution and spray it 2-3 times during the pothos growing season or before leaf bud differentiation, which can promote rapid growth of new leaf buds, with plump leaf buds and an increased number of pothos leaves.
If gardeners notice yellowing leaves on their pothos, they can, in the evening, use a mixture of beer and monopotassium phosphate to gently wipe both the front and back of the pothos leaves with a soft cloth, or spray both sides of the leaves with a spray bottle. This can make the pothos leaves lush green, with leaves as large as a palm and stems as thick as a finger.
