How to save a Happiness Tree that is dropping leaves? Teach you the correct remedies

There are many reasons a Happiness Tree (Radermachera sinica) drops its leaves: if it is caused by unsuitable lighting, it needs to be kept in a bright and well-ventilated environment, and given more light in winter. If it is caused by temperatures that are too high or too low, it should be kept in a cool place in summer and moved indoors promptly in winter. If it is caused by improper watering, you need to control the amount of water and keep the potting soil moist.

1. Reasonable lighting

Cause: The Happiness Tree likes sunlight, though it is also shade-tolerant. If it is grown outdoors where the midday sun is intense and no shade is provided, or if it stays in a dark environment for a long time, it will easily drop its leaves.

Solution: It needs to be kept in a bright and well-ventilated environment, and shade measures should be taken when the light is too strong. In winter, let it receive plenty of light too; it should not stay in a lightless indoor environment for long periods.

2. Adjust the temperature

Cause: The suitable growing temperature for the Happiness Tree is 22-28°C. If the growing temperature is above 30°C or below 5°C, its leaves will turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: In summer, keep it in a cool place and mist it appropriately to lower the temperature; in winter, move it indoors promptly, and take warming measures when the temperature is low.

3. Water moderately

Cause: Although the Happiness Tree likes a humid environment, the amount of water should not be too large. If water accumulates, its root system will rot and the leaves will fall off along with it. If it is kept in a state of water shortage for a long time, leaf drop will likewise occur.

Solution: If the amount of water is too large, loosen the soil appropriately and reduce watering in general; if you usually water too little, gradually increase the amount of water rather than giving a lot at once. In summer, water more and mist the plant appropriately.
