How do beginners water flowers correctly? Do it this way and you absolutely cannot go wrong

Watering is a regular part of the maintenance work of growing flowers. Below are some little tips on how to water cleverly when growing flowers at home.
1. Water herbaceous plants more, woody plants less
Herbaceous flowers have shallow roots and a poor ability to absorb water. Their bodies need a lot of water and their leaves lose water quickly, so they should be watered more and often. In summer, besides watering every day, you should also spray water on the leaves. Woody flowers have roots that go deep into the soil and spread widely, and they absorb water strongly, so the amount of water can be appropriately reduced; in summer, watering once every other day is generally enough.
2. Water sandy soil more, clay soil less
Sandy soil is loose and has poor water retention, so it is best to water it a bit more. Clay soil is compact, retains water well and has poor air permeability, so it should not be watered too much or too often.
3. Water plants with large, soft leaves more; water plants with small, waxy leaves less
The larger and softer the leaves, the more easily water evaporates, so more water should be given. Flowers with small, waxy leaves lose water from the leaf surface slowly, so they can be watered a moderate amount less; just keep the potting soil from becoming too dry.
4. Water moisture-loving flowers more, drought-loving flowers less
Moisture-loving flowers such as Monstera deliciosa, Reineckea carnea, gladiolus and Cyperus alternifolius should be watered more. Drought-loving flowers such as cacti, Echeveria, nandina, crape myrtle and sisal should be watered less.
5. Water more when it is hot, less when it is cold
6. Water more during the vigorous growth period, less during the dormant period
During the vigorous growth period, flowers need a large amount of nutrients and water, so watering should be combined with fertilizing, watering more and often. When flowers are dormant, growth tends to stall and their water requirement is very small, so watering should be strictly controlled.
