How do you grow Umbrella Papyrus so it thrives? Master these care methods

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
Umbrella Papyrus can be grown in water or in soil. If growing in water, pay attention to changing the water regularly, watch the water quality, and use some nutrient solution. Also, do not place it where a TV or fan blows on it often. If growing in soil, choose soil that is as nutrient-rich as possible, and provide an appropriate amount of fertilizer, plenty of water, and a certain amount of light.

1. Water-cultured plants

(1) Change the water regularly: If it has just rooted, it is not suitable to change the water too frequently. After the water evaporates, you can top it up, but do not change it too many times. After that, you can care for it normally, though the number of water changes differs by season. In summer, change it about once every two days; in winter, about once every ten days.

(2) Pay attention to the type of water: Water quality has a huge effect on the plant. It must not be dirty water or water containing grease or oil. You can choose lake water, river water, and so on; electrolyzed ionized water is best.

(3) Nutrient solution: To make the plant grow better, you can also use nutrient solution to help it grow. You can also use brandy, which works quite well too.

(4) In addition, do not place it next to a TV, and do not place it in a place with strong wind; only then can it grow well.

2. Soil-cultured plants

(1) Soil: Choose soil that is as nutrient-rich as possible, so the plant will not lack nutrients as it grows.

(2) Fertilizer: After using fertilizer, the plant's growth will noticeably improve. The main seasons it is needed are spring and summer; you can use some compound fertilizer. However, the concentration should not be too high; about one percent is enough.

(3) Watering: Provide plenty of water, but do not let water accumulate. Plenty of water can promote plant growth, but too much water poses a threat.

(4) Light: For the plant to grow well, an appropriate amount of light exposure is essential. Too strong light is no good; providing scattered light normally is enough.
