What months does lavender bloom?
1. June to August
Generally speaking, lavender blooms from June to August each year. In June, its flowers gradually begin to open; in July, it is in full bloom, with most of its flowers already open. At this time, the lavender fields usually take on a very dreamy purple and look extremely beautiful. If you want to go and admire the flowers, it is best to go at this time. By the end of August, its flowers begin to fade one after another.
2. Controlling the flowering period
For wild lavender, the flowering period is generally June to August, but for potted plants, if they are given suitable growing conditions, their flowering period can be controlled artificially.
From sowing to flowering, it generally takes 18-20 weeks, so the sowing time needs to be worked out backwards based on when you want it to bloom. After sowing it, you need to make sure it gets sufficient light and good ventilation; in addition, it is best to keep it warm in winter and cool in summer, which will ensure it flowers smoothly.
