Huahua has been suffering from excessive internal heat recently, so she went to the supermarket and bought a few passion fruits to mix with honey and drink at home, but what to do with the passion fruits after eating them? Why not plant a pot at home yourself!

How do you get the seeds from a passion fruit?

1. When going to the supermarket to buy passion fruit, observe the texture of its skin. It is best to choose those with purple or dark red skin. When buying, you can shake them a little. The ones with lots of juice and a fragrant smell are good fruit.

2. Cut the passion fruit you bought straight open with a knife, then use a small spoon to scoop out the pulp and put it in a bowl. Add a little honey and stir it slightly with a spoon, and it is ready to drink!

3. For the remaining passion fruit seeds, if they still have pulp attached, keep putting them in warm water at 30°C and gently rub off the pulp attached to the seeds with your hands, and then you can scoop the seeds out.

4. Put the selected passion fruit seeds in a cool, ventilated place for 1-2 days and just let the seeds dry!

How do you plant passion fruit?

1. The dried passion fruit seeds can be sprouted using a wet paper towel. Find a paper towel, moisten it slightly with a spray bottle, then place the dried seeds on it. Summer weather is hot, so it takes only about 3-5 days for pointed little sprouts to grow.

2. Prepare loose, breathable soil. You can use sand or pine needle soil, mix in a little perlite, water thoroughly once, then plant the passion fruit seeds. Just plant them about 1-2 cm deep, not too deep.

3. After planting the seeds, to ensure enough temperature and humidity, it is best to find a plastic film and cover the seeds with it. Remember to poke a few holes in the plastic film for ventilation.

4. Move the flowerpot to a place with good scattered light and avoid direct sunlight. When you notice the potting soil is dry, spray water. It takes only about 6 days for the planted passion fruit seeds to sprout.

5. When the passion fruit seedlings grow 2 complete true leaves, they can be placed in direct sunlight, and the film can be removed at this time. When the true leaves grow to 4-5, they need to be transplanted into a larger flowerpot, with only 1 plant kept in each pot.

6. As the passion fruit grows, pay attention to giving it more sunlight and keeping the potting soil slightly moist. Do not let water accumulate in the pot. If you want it to grow vigorously, you can also add a little compound fertilizer.

7. When the passion fruit grows a bit more, you have to build a trellis for it, or simply plant it beside a security window and let it climb up along the security window. Then it instantly becomes a beautiful climbing vine curtain!

8. After the passion fruit blooms, its appearance is very similar to clematis. If any flower lover feels clematis is hard to grow, you might as well grow a pot of passionflower, and it can even bear fruit to eat!

9. Only after pollinating the passion fruit can it bear fruit. After the passion fruit blooms, everyone can observe that the 5 oval ones inside the flower are the stamens, while the other 3 column-shaped ones are the pistils. Find a clean cotton swab and just dab the pollen from the stamens onto the pistils.

10. After pollination, within 1-2 months, small passion fruits will form!

That is all Huahua is introducing today!

Has everyone learned it?

Why not hurry to the supermarket and buy a passion fruit,

keep the seeds and try it yourself!
