Flowers & Gardening 0 views
The lavender flowering period is generally from May to October, with the most abundant blooms in June-July. If you want to photograph or view them, this is the best time. During the flowering period, it should be given a cool environment so the flowering period will last longer. In addition, too much watering or long-term exposure to blazing sun will cause the flowers to wilt and shorten the flowering period. After flowering, diseased branches, dead branches, spent flowers, etc. need to be pruned off.

1. Flowering period

The lavender flowering period is generally between May and October. June-July is the peak blooming period and also the time when the flowers look their most beautiful. Its flowers are very small, and generally few people notice them when they first bloom. In fact, it has already begun to open in late May.

If you want to view them, it is recommended to go in June-July. Its blooming requires light, and this period is just right, making it the best time for both photography and viewing.

2. Flowering period care

During the lavender flowering period, there is no need to give too much water; it does not like a humid growing environment. Especially for potted plants, there must not be standing water in the potting soil. Too much water will cause root rot, and the flowering period will also become shorter.

It likes a cool environment. In midsummer, it is best to provide appropriate shade. If it is exposed to blazing sun for a long time, the flowers may wilt. After the flowers finish blooming, the position below the first node of the flower needs to be cut off, pruning it into a hemispherical shape. Diseased branches, dead branches, spent flowers, etc. also need to be pruned off.
