Asparagus fern can be grown hydroponically, and it is best to use seedlings with roots. For hydroponics, clear the old soil from the roots, rinse them clean with water, prune off diseased and old roots, and wash the wounds with carbendazim. Prepare a container, put some clay pebbles or maifan stone at the bottom, insert the prepared plant, and place it in a cool spot for care.

I. Whether it is possible

Asparagus fern can be grown hydroponically, but cuttings cannot be used for hydroponics; it is best to use seedlings with roots. When growing hydroponically, clear the old soil from the plant's roots, clean them with water, and use sterilized scissors to prune the diseased and old roots. If the roots are not dealt with, their growth will be affected.

II. Hydroponic method

1. Prepare materials: prepare a glass container, along with some clay pebbles or maifan stone.

2. Prepare the plant: after pruning the roots of the asparagus fern, wash the wounds with carbendazim to prevent disease or rot.

3. Insert the cutting: place clay pebbles or maifan stone in the container, and insert the prepared asparagus fern into the container; the clay pebbles at the bottom can keep the plant from tilting.

4. Hydroponic care: after inserting, place it in a cool spot for care, and do not let strong sunlight shine on it directly. If caring for it indoors, open the windows appropriately for ventilation. In addition, change the water promptly; after it grows white roots, you can apply a suitable amount of nutrient solution, but not too much.
