What is the difference between Peperomia and Biyu? A quick guide to telling them apart
I. Differences
In fact, Peperomia is a type of Biyu flower, and Peperomia can be considered the standard Chinese name for this plant. Biyu is its common name. Generally, in books, we call this plant Peperomia. At flower markets or among plant enthusiasts, people are more fond of calling it Biyu. So these are two names for one plant, and apart from the name, there is no difference between the two.

II. Morphology
Peperomia is an evergreen herbaceous plant with dense leaves that are nearly equal in size, with transparent glandular dots, broadly elliptical or nearly round, with blunt or rounded ends. It is suitable for growing in bright, indirect light and a warm, humid environment. It likes water, and in a more humid environment it can grow more luxuriantly. In summer, water should be sprayed on the leaves or around it in time to ensure it can grow normally.
