Can a pothos with soft, wilted leaves still survive?
1. Provide warmth
Cause: In winter, when the temperature is too low, the pothos's leaves are easily damaged by cold, which causes them to become wilted.
Solution: If the plant is grown outdoors, it needs to be moved indoors in winter. After that, the indoor temperature needs to be raised to prevent the plant from cold damage. In addition, you can spray a little water on the leaves to increase humidity.
2. Reduce light exposure
Cause: Leaving a pothos in a place with overly strong sunlight for a long time will cause strong light to scorch its leaves, making them go soft.
Solution: Place the plant in a bright spot indoors, or use tools such as a shade net to give it appropriate shade.
3. Reduce watering
Cause: Watering too much during cultivation will cause water to accumulate in the soil, damaging its roots and causing the leaves to start going soft.
Solution: Loosen the soil a little, then place it in a ventilated, cool place to let the moisture in the soil dry out. In the subsequent care process, the number and frequency of watering need to be reduced to ensure that water will not accumulate in the soil again.
