Kalanchoe cuttings grow a full head of big white roots in 7 days, and bloom abundantly and beautifully

I wonder if you have ever felt this way: when taking cuttings of kalanchoe, you always love to take them out and take a peek, and as a result, after waiting a long time, the kalanchoe just will not root, or else the seedlings rot from too much water. Is taking cuttings really that hard? Today I will share with you a lazy person's method: roots come out fast, and the roots are strong.
1. Cut the terminal bud
Everyone knows that kalanchoe is also a type of succulent plant. Friends who grow succulents will notice that some succulents grow aerial roots, so kalanchoe can also use the principle of growing aerial roots for cuttings. So how do you do it? Very simple: cut off the terminal bud of the branch, and the cut should be smooth. As shown in the picture below, that slightly raised white spot is the rooting point. Put it in a ventilated and shaded place, and in about 7 days it will grow roots.
2. Settling in
Once the terminal bud has grown roots, it can be potted up and settle in. When potting up, use chopsticks to poke a hole in the soil, then carefully place the terminal bud down into it, without damaging the roots, and there is no need to press the soil, because once the roots grow they will naturally grip the soil, just like succulent leaf cuttings. And the next time you water, the water will wash soil into the hole, and the hole will be filled in. After potting up, water thoroughly, then just place it in diffused light and let it grow naturally.
3. Feeding
If you want the plant to grow fast, it has to be fed. Generally, on the third watering, you can use a little dilute fertilizer, and the dilution ratio should be as large as possible. Do not use fertilizer that is not fully decomposed. You can use a general-purpose organic nutrient solution, diluted to 3000 times, and then you do not have to worry about damaging the tender roots, and it can also promote root growth. When the kalanchoe grows to 5-7cm tall, you can fertilize at normal concentration. At the flowering stage, you can use an organic nutrient solution that promotes flowering, once every 10 days, and then there will be many buds and the flowers will burst into a full pot.
4. Haircut
If you want the kalanchoe to look good, short and sturdy, besides giving it plenty of sun, you also need to give it regular haircuts. Haircuts are generally divided into pinching and pruning. Pinching should be done when the plant is still a seedling, generally removing 2 and keeping 4. After pinching, you can use a little dilute liquid fertilizer to supplement nutrients. Pruning is generally done after flowering. Besides cutting off the flower branches, you should also cut off overly large leaves, otherwise if it is too dense it will easily get bugs. If you take care of the small details, the kalanchoe will naturally bloom beautifully.
Actually, taking cuttings is not about how good your technique is, but about being able to control your hands, otherwise even if roots grow they will be worn away. If you are the kind of person who just cannot keep your hands still, you can try this lazy person's method.
