These flowers rot at the roots and die from too much watering, and misting can kill them too, so keep your hands off

In the hot summer, water evaporates fairly quickly, so compared with other seasons, many flowers and plants need to be watered more often. Quite a few gardening fans wish they could water their flowers every single day, and as a result, water accumulates, the roots rot, and the plants die. Other gardening fans think that since watering easily causes waterlogging and root rot, they will just mist their flowers every day. In theory, most flowers and plants can be misted regularly in summer to raise air humidity, but there are some plants that particularly hate having their leaves misted, and it very easily causes the leaves to rot. Check quickly whether you have any of these plants at home, and be sure to be careful the next time you water.
1. Wax begonia
(Rieger begonia)
Wax begonia is fairly drought tolerant, and too much water easily kills it. Its leaves also have lots of tiny fuzz, so when caring for it, you must water the potting soil and never mist the leaves. If water gets on the leaves, it is very hard for it to evaporate, and the leaves very easily rot. Especially now that there is a lot of rain in summer, you must be careful to keep it out of the rain when caring for it.
2. Cyclamen
Although cyclamen is in its dormant period in summer, the tubers of quite a few gardening fans' cyclamen have already started to grow leaves. When caring for it, keep the potting soil a little on the dry side, and when watering, do not pour water on the leaves, because its leaves, like those of wax begonia, have lots of fuzz, and water on them is likewise hard to evaporate and easily causes the leaves to rot.
3. Golden barrel cactus
The golden barrel cactus is famously a lazy person's plant. Quite a few plant killers often complain that they are the kind of person who can even kill a golden barrel cactus. Why? The golden barrel cactus is a succulent plant and is very drought tolerant. When caring for it, keep the potting soil on the dry side, otherwise it very easily rots. When watering it, you must water from the roots. If you pour water from the top of the cactus downward, it will make the cactus damp and cause the body to rot.
4. Clivia
There are many gardening fans who like clivia. If we want it to grow well, we need to keep its leaves clean. Generally, we wipe the leaves with a damp towel, but we must never mist water onto the leaves. Water droplets easily run down the leaves to the center of the leaf rosette and cause waterlogging and rot.
Besides the above 4, there are also plants common in this season such as gloxinia and succulents. When watering, try not to mist the leaves; just water along the edge of the flowerpot. Gardening fans, what other plants have you grown that cannot be misted on the leaves? You are welcome to leave a comment and share with us.
