It originated in tropical regions, and some are egg-shaped, while others are round, kidney-shaped, or heart-shaped; the skin comes in many colors: light green, yellow, and dark red; the flesh is yellow, contains dietary fiber, and ranges from sour to sweet in taste, with a fragrance, plenty of juice, and a large stone. The mango concentrates the essence of tropical fruits in one, and is known as the "king of tropical fruits."

Sister-in-law Er is from Panzhihua, Sichuan, and worked in Yunnan in 2011, so every year at this time she goes back to her parents' home in Panzhihua to have fun: first, to visit her family, and second, to taste in person the local specialty from her parents' area, the purple mango. This purple mango is a fruit that only started being grown in recent years; it tastes sweet and crisp, with a really excellent texture.

So every year at this time, Sister-in-law Er brings her whole family, sparing no effort in driving several hours, to her parents' home to pick mangoes herself, to taste firsthand the flavor of the fruit she picked, and by the way take some back to Yunnan.
