Balcony flowers pecked by birds down to bare stems? Tie a few colorful ribbons and it will scare the birds away

A couple of days ago I finally beat all kinds of annoying bugs, but I never expected to lose to a bird! The lush flowers on the balcony were pecked by birds until only the stems were left, I was almost furious to death!

What I plant doesn't grow as fast as it eats!
So how can you efficiently drive birds away?
Quick trick - tie colorful ribbons
Tie a few bird-deterrent ribbons on the balcony and you can effectively keep birds away. Why? Because the ribbons reflect light, which irritates the birds; when the wind blows, the sound the ribbons make also frightens the birds!
Notes
1. The ribbons must be wind-resistant and have a good reflective effect. If you don't have ribbons, you can use CDs instead.
2. The ribbons should be hung about 20cm higher than the potted plants. You can't just hang them directly on the flower pot and call it done, or the effect will be very poor.
Great trick - scarecrow
Put a scarecrow on the balcony and you can scare the birds away. This is a method everyone has known since childhood!
How to make it
1. Find two wooden sticks and nail them into a cross shape to serve as the scarecrow's torso and arms.
2. Put clothes on the nailed cross, stuff straw, waste paper, cotton wadding and other materials inside to prop up the clothes, and tie them tightly; finally put on a hat and tie on two gloves and it's done!
Of course, if you find it too troublesome, just put a shirt on the cross and pop a hat on it!
Note: A scarecrow only works to drive birds away for a short time, unless you frequently change the scarecrow's shape or color!
Great trick - stretch a net overhead
If it's convenient to set up a frame at home and there's enough space, you can stretch a net overhead and cover all the flowers, plants, vegetables and fruits from top to bottom. This way you can prevent birds and also prevent other small animals!
If you feel there's no space and want to open the window for ventilation but are afraid the balcony flowers will be pecked by birds, it's recommended to put a layer of wire mesh on the balcony!
Great trick - kill the chicken to warn the monkey
This method is rather cruel and crude: place a dead bird next to the flower pot to serve as a warning, and the other birds will be frightened when they see it!
Note: Killing small birds at will is illegal. You must obtain them through proper channels, for example, pick up some birds that died in captivity at a flower and bird market.
Great trick - keep a cat
Generally birds are afraid of cats. Keep a cat on the balcony, and small birds like sparrows won't dare land; they'll fly away as soon as they see the cat!
Note: The prerequisite for keeping a cat is that it won't harm your flowers and plants. Don't end up driving the birds away only to have to figure out how to deal with the cat.

Great trick - intimidate with natural enemies
Find some pictures of birds' natural enemies, such as magpies, eagles, snakes, cats and dogs. Enlarge and print them out, and stick them in places birds often visit, and the birds will be scared away!
Note: The several methods Huahua introduced today are all mainly based on intimidation and won't really harm the birds. Flower friends, please don't use overly extreme methods!
That's all the methods Huahua is introducing to everyone today!
