What is the difference between yingshanhong and azaleas? A quick guide to telling them apart
1. Differences
Many flower lovers do not know the difference between yingshanhong and azaleas. Actually, it is really simple: during the azalea blooming season, that is, in April and May, wild azaleas on the mountains bloom in vast patches, dotting the whole mountain peak with large swathes of red. When people see this sight, they naturally call the red flowers covering the mountain, that is, the wild azaleas, "yingshanhong."
If you want to know why azaleas are also called yingshanhong, flower lovers can go out into the wild to see for themselves when the azaleas are in bloom. Around April every year, azaleas bloom in patches on the mountains, dressing the whole mountain in red, a truly spectacular sight.
So, in general, yingshanhong is another name for azaleas, broadly referring to all kinds of red azaleas.
2. Points to note
Yingshanhong refers only to the red varieties of azaleas. This is because, besides red, azaleas also come in other colors, but azaleas of these colors cannot be called yingshanhong.
