Jasmine has a rich fragrance and is easy to grow and keep alive. Many people like hydroponic plants, so how do you grow jasmine hydroponically? Let's take a look!

1. Hydroponic tips for jasmine:

When growing jasmine hydroponically, it is generally done from April to June, as this is the most suitable time for hydroponic cuttings; they will sprout and take root in about 15~25 days.

(1). Container:

A transparent glass container can be used so you can observe root development. Add clean water to the container to a depth of about 2~3cm.

(2). Cuttings:

Select healthy, disease-free branches about 7~9cm long, keep only 2~4 leaves at the top, and place them in a cool place to let the wounds heal.

(3). Environment:

Insert the prepared branches into the water and keep them in a warm, ventilated place with weak light. They must not be exposed to strong sun; add water promptly when the water runs low.

(4). Rooting:

Roots generally appear in about 1 month. Once the plant has adapted to a soil-free growing environment, it can be transplanted into perlite; the roots will quickly fill it out, and the ornamental effect is also very good.

2. How do you care for hydroponic jasmine?

(1). Light:

Jasmine needs to be guaranteed sufficient light. In the summer heat, it should be properly shaded. It is generally placed on a well-ventilated balcony or windowsill, with a west- or south-facing aspect being best.

(2). Temperature:

In winter, keep the temperature no lower than 5℃, otherwise it is prone to cold damage. It can be moved indoors promptly, and warmth-retention measures should be taken. The suitable growing temperature for jasmine is around 25℃.

(3). Changing the water:

In the early stage of hydroponic jasmine, before roots have formed, the water needs to be changed once every 2~3 days. After water roots grow, the water can be changed about once every 15 days.

(4). Fertilizing:

When growing jasmine hydroponically, an appropriate amount of nutrient solution can be added, but be careful not to overdo it, otherwise it easily leads to excessive nutrient buildup and affects plant growth.
