Don't throw away your Pereskia; one plant can propagate a whole patch, and it's in huge demand for grafting Christmas cactus

A Christmas cactus grafted onto Pereskia not only beats cactus in height, but also leads by a wide margin in survival rate.

If you have Christmas cacti of various varieties at home, you can also graft the leaves of these multiple colors onto a single branch, so that when it grows and blooms it will be one plant bearing multiple kinds of flowers - just thinking about it looks beautiful.

Especially this kind of old-root seedling - it simply couldn't be more precious. Plant it and it easily survives; after it grows for a while, you can propagate it again, and before long you'll have a whole patch.

But many people just throw them away after use, which really is a pity. Once you have a big patch of Pereskia, you can graft however you like - why worry that your Christmas cactus won't be in demand?
