These bizarre orchid-growing techniques are the most harmful, and beginners often pay a heavy price for them. Have you been caught in the crossfire?

There is a type of person on the internet whose orchid-growing techniques are extremely bizarre, and can even be called deeply harmful. If orchid enthusiasts (especially beginners) unfortunately come across their articles and videos and then try to learn from them, then your orchids are not far from dying and being thrown out, pot and all.

There are countless orchid-growing techniques. Depending on the region, the orchid species and the environment, various methods each have their own merits, which is perfectly normal. Since Haoshe Farmer began posting articles on self-media platforms, everything written has been based on personal insights and experience, and for orchid enthusiasts the harm is always less than the benefit.

There are many people on the internet who are skilled at growing orchids, and they all share one characteristic. Haoshe Farmer has carefully read their articles, and most of what they write is their own orchid-growing insights, or some experience from working in this industry. Much of this knowledge cannot be learned from books. These people are true orchid growers. Whether they succeed or fail, they can give beginner orchid enthusiasts inspiration. Successes can be learned from, and failed cases can be avoided. For this kind of hands-on author, Haoshe Farmer expresses genuine respect.

But the bizarre people mentioned above never grow orchids themselves. They are all people who specialize in chasing self-media traffic; to put it plainly, they copy articles or repost content from videos. Because they have never had any contact with orchids, they completely do not understand some of the basic characteristics and growing requirements of orchids. Haoshe Farmer's articles and videos have been rewritten into very nonsensical things by others. For example:

The original text "Orchids should be shaded in summer, and never apply concentrated chemical fertilizer" should be known to many people with a bit of orchid-growing experience. But after copying the article, they turned it into "Orchids should be shaded in summer, and be sure to apply concentrated chemical fertilizer." Only one character differs, and the meaning is completely reversed. Sure enough, some beginner orchid enthusiasts were sure (did not forget) to apply concentrated chemical fertilizer, and the result can be imagined.

Example two: "When growing orchids, be sure to place them in a ventilated area; only then can the orchids grow well." This sentence is also often said by orchid-growing enthusiasts, and everyone should be able to understand it. But someone wrote it as "When growing orchids, do not place them in a ventilated area; only then can the orchids grow well." Again just one character differs, but the harm is no small matter!!

When reading and watching articles and videos about orchid-growing techniques on the internet, everyone should understand one thing: look for authors who have grown orchids themselves or are currently growing orchids. Even if what they sometimes say is not completely correct, at least they have their own experience and will not harm people.

As for those fakers, most of them are reading from a piece of paper in front of them, and even then they cannot read it completely correctly. As for the text content, they simply do not understand it at all. How would they know that a one-character difference between "be sure to" and "do not" or between "never" and "be sure to" could kill orchids?

Friends online, have you ever come across such bizarre articles?
