Having trouble growing pothos in summer? Cut a stem and put it in water, it roots fast and the leaves won't turn yellow

Pothos is arguably everyone's first choice when buying plants at the flower shop. Especially in this hot weather, if you keep a few pots of these lush green plants at home, it really makes things feel a lot cooler, and pothos is pretty easy to care for.
There are quite a few ways to grow pothos, the most common being soil culture and water culture, and more people like to cut off a few of its stems and then root them as cuttings, so that they can end up with several pots at once. But in this season, what Huahua recommends is putting pothos stems in water to grow. Not only is the method simple, the result also looks great!
As long as it is cared for properly, a pothos stem can grow very long, which is exactly why we choose it. So the most important thing first is to choose a suitable stem. Since we are rooting it in water, we not only need to make sure the stem is healthy, but also that it is growing well, so that once planted it looks nicely shaped.
When cutting the stem, try to choose a spot about 3 cm away from a node. This not only helps the wound on the stem heal and encourages more new shoots to grow, but also promotes new roots on the cut stem.
Once the stem is cut, you can put it in a water culture bottle. Note that the water inside should be drawn two days in advance and left to sit, so that it won't harm the stem. For pothos in water culture, be careful not to let it sit in sunlight for long periods.
First, the leaves that have just been cut are still rather delicate, and a bit of sun easily turns them yellow and makes them wilt. Also, it can cause the water to spoil, so don't put it on the balcony at noon. And during the period when it is rooting, be sure not to change the water often, as this will actually hinder root growth.
Before roots grow, check on it constantly. If you notice signs of softening or rotting at the bottom, take it out promptly and trim it and change the water, so that it won't infect the other healthy stems and leaves. We can also add a little nutrient solution to the water, which can make it grow faster and a bit more lush!
