How to grow variegated spider plant well? Detailed care tips
1. Water
To help variegated spider plant grow better, there should be sufficient water, especially during the vigorous growth period, when it should be watered promptly. However, in winter the amount of watering should be reduced, and you should water thoroughly only after the soil has dried out; standing water must not be allowed to form in the potting soil. In winter, watering should be done at noon, and the water temperature should be close to the air temperature; otherwise, it is very easy to cause cold damage. In summer, the leaves should be cleaned frequently so it can carry out photosynthesis better and grow better.
2. Light
Variegated spider plant grows better under bright indirect light, and it likes a semi-shaded growing environment. When sunlight is strong, pay attention to shading, especially in summer; it can be moved to a shady place in time, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow. However, in winter it can receive more light.
3. Temperature
In winter, the temperature is relatively low, and it should generally be kept above 10°C. Only when the temperature is suitable can it overwinter safely and grow better. When the temperature is relatively high in summer, appropriate cooling measures can be taken; if the environment is well ventilated, cooling can be ignored.
4. Fertilizing
If you want variegated spider plant to grow better, fertilizing is essential. During the growing season, it is generally enough to apply a dilute fertilizer once every 10-15 days. Do not fertilize too frequently, so as to avoid fertilizer burn. Of course, it also should not go without fertilizing for a long time, as the leaf color will fade due to insufficient nutrients.
