To many flower lovers, growing plants seems like a rather difficult task, and at home they can only keep a few tough, hardy plants like pothos and spider plants. In fact, growing flowers is not as hard as you might imagine. Just add a little something to the water when you water them, and this way you can ensure your flowers grow vigorously with lush branches and leaves.

1. Aspirin

Aspirin contains a certain amount of salicylic acid, which can speed up plant growth, promote rooting, and also improve the plant's own resistance. After adding one aspirin tablet to the water you use for watering, watering the plants with it can boost their resistance and promote normal plant growth.

2. Rice vinegar

Soil in the north tends to be alkaline. If you want to grow acid-loving flowers such as jasmine and azaleas, yellowing leaves are very likely to appear. In this case, you can add a little rice vinegar to the water when watering to adjust the soil's acidity and alkalinity, and it can also promote the plant's absorption of iron. Of course, the rice vinegar solution can also be sprayed directly onto the leaves, which can make the leaves more vivid, beautiful and elegant. However, do not spray it at noon; choose to use it in the afternoon when the light is weak.

3. Beer

Beer contains a large amount of nutrients. Things like sugars and proteins all have a very good promoting effect on plant growth, and beer also contains a relatively large amount of carbon dioxide, which is also very beneficial to plant growth. Beer does not need to be fermented; simply dilute it thoroughly with water and spray it onto the leaves, and it can make the leaves emerald green and glossy. Of course, you can also dilute it and use it directly to water the plants, which likewise produces a very good effect.

4. Ferrous sulfate

Ferrous sulfate is a fairly common compound fertilizer. It can not only improve the soil's pH, but also promote the formation of chlorophyll in plants, which in turn can speed up plant growth. Of course, the diluted ferrous sulfate solution can also be sprayed directly onto plant leaves, so that the plants can absorb the nutrients in it through their leaves.
