Grow yam beans yourself at home, and you'll have more than you can eat from your balcony without buying any

Keeping a couple of plants at home and tending to them when you have time sounds like a wonderful life, but reality is not like that. Some people find that the plant they just bought home dies within a few days, and a blow like that probably makes a grower's resolve to keep plants vanish into thin air!
Instead of worrying about the flowers at home every day, it is actually better to change direction and grow something tasty on the balcony, which is the best of both worlds. And today, Huahua recommends yam beans, whose nutritional value is also very high, and most importantly, you basically do not need to care for them at all, and you can still harvest a full pot of delicious food!
We can first go buy some yam beans, then pick out a few plump ones, and ones that show no signs of insects or rot. Before planting, we also need to observe them carefully to make sure of the direction the sprouts will emerge, otherwise if planted upside down, it will be more troublesome later.
One end of the yam bean is bulging and rather round and smooth, while the other end is thinner and has several bud points, and it is this end that should face up when planting. If you really cannot tell them apart, you can plant it lying sideways, and it will still sprout that way.
If you want it to grow faster, you can presprout it before planting; simply wrap the yam beans in a water-soaked gauze, keep it moist during this time, and after about 3 days they will sprout. As for the flower pot, choose as large a one as possible, so it is convenient for its later growth. The soil requirements are not that strict either; ordinary garden soil will do.
Next you can plant them. Be careful to distribute each one evenly and not too close together, otherwise they will compete with each other for nutrients. Also, do not plant too deep; generally about 5 cm is fine. Finally, water once and place it in the sun to care for it.
After some time, once it sprouts, you can appropriately increase watering and sunlight. When it grows a bit taller, we need to start setting up a trellis, because its climbing ability is quite strong, so this allows it to grow and bear fruit!
