Roses are a favorite flower among many gardening enthusiasts, but there are so many varieties, and most of the ones people grow are fairly common and ordinary, so after seeing them a lot they start to feel just so-so.

Today Hua'er will introduce them to everyone: when growing roses, you need to choose the right variety. Bolero blooms in clusters and comes with a strong fragrance, long praised as "before you see the flower, you smell its scent." It is super beautiful!

A single bloom of the Bolero rose can reach forty or fifty flowers, and it can bloom in all four seasons of the year. The flowers are very thick and full, white on the outside with pink showing through inside, and they are compact from the outer edge inward. When the flower center is slightly exposed, that is its best viewing moment.

Because the Bolero rose grows vigorously, blooms many times, has large and fragrant flowers, resists disease and tolerates heat, it is a very easy flower to grow, and in recent years it has won deep affection from many gardening enthusiasts.

The Bolero rose likes loose, fertile soil rich in organic matter that is slightly acidic and has good drainage. When planting, generally use leaf mold and sandy soil mixed at a 3:1 ratio as the base soil, then add some bone meal, dried granular animal manure, and so on.

It likes light, and during the growing season it needs ample sunlight, controlled at more than 7 hours of light per day, so it can keep growing; otherwise the plant will grow leggy and fail to bloom, and even if it sets some buds, the flowers will not be fragrant. During the flowering period, it is best to control light at around 10 hours, which lets it produce more buds and bloom more vividly.

Its demands for fertilizer and water are not too high either. When watering, remember the principle of "water when dry, and when wet, soak through." In summer, when it is hot and dry, keep it appropriately moist; when you see the potting soil showing slight white, water it thoroughly. Each day you can spray water on the branches and leaves 1-2 times to increase humidity. It likes fertilizer; base fertilizer should mainly be slow-release organic fertilizer, such as rotted cow manure, chicken manure, soybean cake, oil residue, and so on. During the peak growing season, apply a diluted light fertilizer once every 3-5 days to promote growth and flowering. Note that after flowering you should stop fertilizing to prolong the flowering period.

That is all for the care of the Bolero rose. If fellow gardening enthusiasts have anything to add, you can share it with everyone in the comment section below. To learn more about growing flowers, you can follow Huajianke!
