Huahua bought 2 jin of grapes and 4 peaches at the supermarket over the weekend, and after leaving them on the coffee table for just a few days, they actually went bad, and even attracted small fruit flies! Summer fruit is a joy to eat, but it also spoils fairly quickly. So what should you do with those spoiled fruits at home? Why not give your plants at home a taste!

Toss rotten grapes into the pot, and the plants grow vigorously!

Huahua loves eating grapes in summer, no matter whether they are expensive or cheap, buying several jin every time. But grapes simply cannot be kept, after 1-2 days, as soon as you open the bag you find they have all gone rotten!

How to use rotten grapes to grow plants?

1. For the grapes you bring home, pick them off directly and rinse them in clean water, remove the spoiled ones, and at the same time save the grape peels left over from eating as well.

2. Prepare a clean plastic bottle or a large bucket, and put all the rotten grapes and grape peels into the bottle.

3. If you want the grapes to ferment faster, you can mix some brown sugar into the plastic bottle, then seal it and leave it in the sun to ferment. After about 3-5 days, open the lid to let it breathe.

4. Generally it will be fully fermented in 1 month. Dilute the fermented grape solution with water at 1:200, then use it directly on your plants at home! The composted grape water contains plenty of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and using it on plants can make your plants at home grow even more vigorously!

Toss banana peels into the pot, and the plants burst into bloom!

When it comes to fruit you eat all year round, apart from bananas there is certainly nothing else! It is just that bananas also spoil super easily in summer, and the peel turns black with the slightest slip, so eat summer bananas quickly, and never leave them for too long!

How to use banana peels to grow plants?

1. Collect the banana peels left over from everyday eating at home, and put them directly in the sun to dry. Summer weather is hot, so in about less than 1 week they will all be dried.

2. If you find drying them directly in the sun troublesome, then put the banana peels on a porcelain plate, then toss them into the microwave to heat, and in about only 3-5 minutes the banana peels will be completely dehydrated.

3. Take the completely dehydrated banana peels and crush them directly with a garlic-pounding container, grind them completely into powder, this way they are easier to store, and neither rot easily nor attract small bugs.

4. If the potting soil at home lacks nutrients, the growth will be poor, but summer weather is also very hot so you cannot repot, we can dig a hole at the edge of the pot, and bury the crushed banana peels directly inside.

5. Banana peels contain a huge amount of potassium fertilizer, using them on plants in summer not only makes your plants at home bloom more and more vigorously, but also improves the disease resistance of the plants, letting your plants at home pass through summer safely!

Toss watermelon rind into the pot, and the leaves grow like crazy!

What is the most enjoyable thing in summer? It is definitely eating watermelon with the air conditioner on! So what about the leftover watermelon rind? Hurry and use it on your plants, the operation is simple and money-saving, simply a must-have for every household!

How to use watermelon rind to grow plants?

1. If you want to make fertilizer that does not stink, scrape off all the remaining red flesh on the watermelon rind, leaving only the green part, then cut it into small pieces.

2. Prepare a clean plastic bottle, put the watermelon rind cut into small pieces inside, seal it and leave it in the sun to ferment. If you do not want to open the lid to let it breathe, then just poke a few small holes in the bottle cap, to prevent the gas from bursting the bottle open.

3. The watermelon rind will slowly decompose in the bottle, in about less than 1 month, the watermelon rind in the bottle will all rot, turning into watermelon rind liquid.

4. At this point, pour out the watermelon rind liquid, dilute it with clean water at a ratio of 1:20, and use it directly to water plants! Watermelon rind contains rich nitrogen, and is very suitable for plants like pothos and spider plant, the leaves will become bigger and bigger!

Toss rotten peaches into the pot, and the roots burst the pot!

Over the weekend Huahua bought a few peaches, left them on the table and forgot to eat them, after 2 days found they had all gone rotten, and even attracted lots of little black bugs, simply disgusting to death! Do not throw away rotten peaches, just use them to compost fertilizer for your plants!

How to use rotten peaches to grow plants?

1. Peaches have relatively high sugar content, if they rot slowly, they easily attract flies, so you must fully chop up the rotten peaches.

2. Prepare a large foam box, lay about 5cm thick soil on the bottom of the foam box, then sprinkle the chopped peaches in, cover with a layer of soil, sprinkle another layer, like making a sandwich, until the whole foam box is filled.

3. Find a plastic bag, wrap the whole foam box, finally cover it with the foam box lid, seal the whole soil, and leave it in the sun to ferment. Summer weather is hot, peaches rot fairly quickly, basically 1 month and it is fully composted.

4. Peaches contain large amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium nutrients, by the time autumn comes, you can just use the fertilizer composted from peaches to repot your plants, not only making the plants grow vigorously, but the roots can even grow so thick they burst the pot!

Toss apple peels into the pot, and never yellow leaves again!

Apples really are a must-have fruit at home all year round, but recently Huahua bought that kind of small green apple, a bit sour, and actually quite tasty!

How to use apples to grow plants?

1. Collect the spoiled apples whole, cut them directly into cubes, put them in a clean plastic bottle, remember to put the cores in directly as well.

2. Add water to the plastic bottle, remember to definitely use cold water. The water level must cover the apples, then seal the bottle and soak. Soaking for about 24 hours or more is enough.

3. After soaking for 24 hours, pour the water out of the bottle, mix it with clean water at a ratio of 1:1, and use it directly to water plants. Apple peels become acidic after soaking in water, especially suitable for southern flowers grown in the north to improve soil pH.

Toss tomatoes into the pot, and alkaline soil turns acidic!

Although tomatoes do not count as a fruit, small tomatoes, commonly known as cherry tomatoes, count as a kind of fruit. Huahua remembers eating cherry tomatoes for a whole spring, and did replenish quite a lot of vitamin C!

How to use tomatoes to grow plants?

2. Do not throw away the rice water left over from washing rice, just pour it into the plastic bottle, mix it with the tomatoes, then shake a few times, and seal it directly to ferment.

3. After about 3-5 days, open the lid to let the gas out. Summer weather is hot, in about less than 1 month it will be fully composted. Pour out the mixed liquid of rice water and tomatoes, mix it with clean water at a ratio of 1:50 and water plants with it. Tomatoes are a slightly acidic substance, after fermenting mixed with rice water, the solution is weakly acidic, very suitable for use on gardenia, Milan, rhododendron, etc.

That is all Huahua is introducing today.
