1. Soil

Asparagus fern prefers soil with high nutrient content and good aeration and drainage. For home growing, you can use a mix of leaf mold, garden soil and coarse sand.

2. Temperature

Asparagus fern is suited to growing in relatively warm temperature conditions. Its optimal growing temperature is 20-15°C. In winter, the temperature needs to be kept above 5°C; in summer, the temperature needs to be kept below 35°C.

3. Light

Asparagus fern prefers semi-shaded growing conditions; when growing it, simply place it in a spot with ample light. In summer, be sure to use a shade net or another method to shade it, otherwise it is very likely to be scorched by strong light.

4. Water

Asparagus fern is neither tolerant of drought nor of waterlogging, so you must be careful when watering: neither too much nor too little. Generally, you need to water it once when its soil first begins to dry out, watering until the soil surface slightly changes color.
