I have always dreamed of having a yard filled with climbing plants. They have a natural, gentle power that brings us floral fragrance and a fairy-tale atmosphere. Where the vines spread, even the scorching summer feels especially cool. Today I will introduce several kinds of climbing plants to cover our courtyard walls and balconies completely.

1. Climbing rose

Climbing roses grow vigorously, climb strongly and have brilliant flower colors, so they are deeply loved by flower growers. Roses also have a long flowering period, generally blooming from spring to autumn, so they are very suitable for growing in a small yard or on a balcony. They have strong vitality. In daily care, attention should be paid to pruning, which can encourage more branching and more flowers.

2. Clematis

If you grow flowers in a small yard, the best companion for climbing roses is clematis. The vines twine together and the flowers bloom in competition, truly bringing out the best in each other. It has the title of queen of the balcony. It has many varieties, large flowers and brilliant colors, and its cold resistance is also very good. As long as it is cared for properly, it has a long flowering period and high ornamental value.

3. Blue plumbago

Blue plumbago has the relatively rare blue flower color, and its flowers bloom in clusters, bringing a cool feeling and delighting the eye with high ornamental value. In the scorching summer it gives a cool feeling and can embellish a room, balcony or courtyard wall. The branches of mature plants hang down, making them more suitable for large container potting.

4. Petunia

An annual slowly twining herbaceous flowering plant, with trumpet-shaped flowers and bright, beautiful colors. It can be used for shade in small courtyards or in front of room windows, and for beautifying small trellises and fences. After blooming it is very beautiful. It is also very suitable for hanging cultivation; after blooming it looks just like a ball and is very attractive.

5. Banksia rose

Banksia rose is a climbing plant in the Rosaceae family. Seen from a distance, it looks no different from a rose. It has a unique temperament. The early summer breeze gently opens the window of memory. In the season when banksia roses bloom, it feels as if one has returned to that quiet little courtyard path.
