The neighbor upstairs won't cooperate about the leaking bathroom, and the renovation worker says doing it this way will hold for a few years

Lately I've been troubled by yet another thing, which is that the top of my bathroom always leaks! I'm really speechless. Sometimes when I'm in there showering, besides the hot water coming out of the showerhead, a couple of drops of ice-cold water occasionally drip down too, and I don't even know what kind of water this is, or whether it's really dirty! It makes me feel sick to my stomach! This water comes down from the leaking unit above, and one patch of my ceiling has been damp all year round. It's really unbearable! So I immediately called a renovation worker!

I called in a renovation worker, and he and I went together to talk things over with the neighbor upstairs, but this neighbor was completely uncooperative and just shut the door in our faces, before we had even finished talking! How can people like this still exist? It's obviously your leak dripping down into our place, yet you take no responsibility and won't cooperate with repairs! But there's no way around it, we still have to find a way to solve this problem! So the worker thought for a while, came up with a trick for me, and said this was the only way to hold things off for a few years!

The worker explained to us that the cause of our leak is that some cracks have appeared at the top of the ceiling, and the neighbor upstairs did a terrible job with waterproofing, so water keeps leaking into our home. Now that the neighbor upstairs is unwilling to cooperate with waterproofing, we can only patch the cracks for the time being, using high-pressure grouting to fill our cracks first, to hold for a few years.

The worker said that although this can temporarily stop the leaking, it is not a long-term solution. As long as upstairs keeps leaking, your ceiling will sooner or later have problems again. The most important thing is still to negotiate with the neighbor and get him to deal with the ceiling; this way it can only hold for a few years! After hearing this, I was really sad, because this neighbor is completely impossible to communicate with! I don't know what I'll do in a few years?
