The succulent Lithops I'm introducing to you today is quite amazing. At first, no one knew it was a plant, and that it could even bloom, because it looks so much like a stone. So when people saw it, they only thought it was a stone. Later, people discovered that the stone could actually grow, and then someone went to study and observe it. In the end, they found that it wasn't a stone at all, but a plant! Only then did people continue to study its structure and composition, and that's how we came to know the succulent Lithops we understand today.

First, I want to tell you how to choose a succulent Lithops. This is actually very simple. There will definitely be different kinds of succulent Lithops in the market. Go and ask about the prices. The more expensive ones are good Lithops, and if the price is very cheap, they are not good succulent Lithops. We should choose the cheap ones, because it's our first time growing this kind of plant and we have no experience, so we can treat it as practice. If an expensive succulent Lithops is grown badly, imagine how sad that would make you feel.

The succulent Lithops you buy will definitely not come with a small flowerpot, or the flowerpot will be very small, so we definitely need to transplant it into a newly bought flowerpot. At this time, you need to pay attention. Because when we usually plant flowers, we like to put the flowers into the soil and then water them, as that is the best way to keep them alive.

However, planting succulent Lithops is not like that. The soil we plant it in should be moist. You should first water the dry soil and then let it sit for a while, so that the soil is completely surrounded by moisture, and then it can be used to plant the succulent Lithops. After planting, absolutely do not water it. If you feel it is really too dry, you can choose to spray some water.

In daily care, we also need to apply fertilizer to it. This fertilizer is selective; not just any fertilizer will do. The elements contained in the fertilizer must also be chosen carefully. It can contain elements such as phosphorus and potassium, but if you add nitrogen fertilizer, that would be terrible, because nitrogen is not an element that succulent Lithops needs. After applying nitrogen fertilizer, your succulent Lithops is basically done for.

Summer is the season that most easily draws attention, because summer is characterized by relatively high temperatures, relatively dry air, and relatively strong sunlight. So when summer comes, we need to be careful about giving it this sunlight. If it gets sunburned, that's not good. Also, the temperature in summer is too high, which makes it easy for bacteria to grow, so we need to cool it down. You can directly move it into an air-conditioned room, or you can use physical cooling methods, that is, spray more water to lower the temperature around it. There are other methods too; it mainly depends on how you choose. In fact, as long as the goal is achieved, it's fine.

Succulent Lithops generally need to grow for 2 to 3 years before they can bloom. Sometimes even when the time comes, they still won't bloom. This is because our care is not adequate. If you find that it has only grown flower buds but won't bloom, then I can use my hands to slowly pry open the flower buds bit by bit and remove the pollen inside, and then it will naturally bloom.
