Keep these 3 kinds of flowers at home, prune them in time while the weather is hot, and in half a month they will burst into bloom again

The weather is too hot, and the flowers on the balcony are blooming listlessly, with only a few sparse blooms, which is uncomfortable to look at. It is a natural law that after summer arrives, many flowers enter a dormant or semi-dormant state. Take this opportunity to give them a trim and a buzz cut. Today, let's take a look with Bai Xiaomei'er at which flowers need pruning in summer to bloom better!
1. Kalanchoe
Summer is the semi-dormant period for kalanchoe. Apart from those sold on the market, home-grown ones are generally in a spent-bloom state. Take this opportunity to give them a buzz cut so they can build up strength and produce the most beautiful autumn blooms.
Kalanchoe buzz-cut method: since it is a buzz cut, be ruthless and do not be reluctant. Cut off all flower branches and leaves, keeping only a few main stems about 5-6 cm long, so that it grows all new leaves. After pruning is complete, kalanchoe will grow new branches and leaves in about 1 month. When the new branches and leaves grow out, do not forget to apply fertilizer once.
2. Petunia
Petunia is very suitable for a balcony with sufficient light. With sufficient light in summer, petunia easily fills the pot, but after it fills the pot, when the temperature is too high, you will find that petunia blooms smaller and smaller and fewer and fewer. At this time, we need to prune it hard.
Petunia pruning method: when you find there are more spent flowers than new buds, immediately cut off all flower branches, keeping the old roots at the bottom at a length of about 8 cm, and in about 2 weeks new branches will grow and continue to bloom.
Note: never wait until all the flowers have finished blooming and the leaves have turned yellow before pruning. At that time it easily dies, so be sure to prune in advance
3. Gloxinia
The flowering period of gloxinia can last until August. In the later stage, the branches very easily age and cannot differentiate new flower buds, so at this time we need to prune.
Gloxinia pruning method: when you find that the gloxinia flowers are getting smaller, the flower diameter is getting smaller, or root rot begins, quickly cut off all flower branches, give it a buzz cut, and in about 2 weeks new branches will grow again
Note: do not choose rainy days when pruning, and do not water after pruning to avoid causing root rot. The flowers that have just been buzz-cut should not be exposed to strong sun. First place them in a cool, ventilated place for a week before normal care.
Flower friends, in the hot summer, are your flowers doing well? Entering the rainy season, the rainfall is heavy. When there are consecutive rainy days, try to move the flowers to a sheltered place for care, so as to avoid excessive water accumulation causing root rot.
