Xie Zheqing visits Chiayi to explore the fun of tea

The Chiayi County Government for the first time invited Xie Zheqing, a shining art and travel storyteller in the Chinese-speaking world who has been featured in special reports by media in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, to come from July 9 to 10 and follow the tea journey, visiting the legendary tea township mountain towns of beautiful Formosa, from the northern tea route to the southern route, bringing together tea culture, secret realms and the stories of ancestors who endured great hardships, lifting the mysterious veil woven from tea fragrance, deeply experiencing the essence of local tea culture, and in the mist-shrouded mountain forests, opening all five senses to feel the charm of finding "tea" in the mountain towns of Chiayi County.

Xie Zheqing entered on foot. In Meishan's century-old Yuxu Temple, he saw people's attachment to the land and the traces of culture and history. Turning into an alley, he felt a completely different Min-style atmosphere. Welcomed by the descendants of a prominent family, he entered an old house to listen to the stories of the ancestors. Then, following the holy light, he came to Meishan Chinese Holy Mother Catholic Church. Standing for a long time before the statue of the Virgin Mary dressed in Qing dynasty clothing, he pressed the shutter, using his lens to witness that the Father's love knows no race or national border.

Xie Zheqing said that during the two-day tour in the mountain towns, he saw the purest local customs, the most enthusiastic people, the most sincere hospitality and the richest tea culture.
