Flowers & Gardening 0 views
Black tea is made through fermentation and has the benefits of warming the stomach and cutting through greasiness; green tea is unfermented and contains many natural compounds, with benefits such as anti-cancer and anti-aging effects. The two differ in color and aroma: black tea's liquor is reddish-brown with a rich aroma and a warming nature, while green tea is light green with a fresh aroma and a cooling nature. Women during menstruation are not suited to drinking green tea.

I. Black Tea

Black tea is a fermented tea. After picking, it undergoes a fermentation process before being dried and pan-fired, during which the active substance tea polyphenols oxidize into other substances, decreasing by more than 90%, but many new effective substances are produced, such as thearubigins. It has the benefits of warming the stomach and cutting through greasiness.

II. Green Tea

Green tea is a tea obtained by drying and pan-firing directly after picking without fermentation. Because its natural substances such as tea polyphenols and catechins are preserved in abundance, it can provide antioxidant and anti-aging effects and prevent the occurrence of cancer. It also contains relatively high amounts of caffeine, so people who have difficulty sleeping should try to drink it in the morning.

III. Main Differences

1. Different appearance: Black tea's liquor is bright red, with a rich and lasting aroma and a sweet, mellow taste; green tea's liquor is light and emerald green, making one feel refreshed and pleasant, with a fresh aroma and at the same time astringency.

2. Different properties: Black tea is warming in nature, suitable in winter or when the body is relatively cold, while the latter is cooling in nature, suitable for drinking in hot summer as it can relieve summer heat, but women during menstruation should not drink it.
