How to prune a money tree? A detailed guide to the correct pruning method
I. Pruning method for a plant not kept long
After spring arrives, a money tree will have some individual branches that grow far beyond its existing canopy. When pruning, you only need to cut off the branches that extend beyond the canopy, which maintains its original tree shape and makes it look fuller.

In addition, besides the branches at the top, sometimes shoots also grow on the trunk of the money tree and sprout into branches. As soon as they emerge, they should be pinched off by hand, so that they do not cause the branch structure to become messy once they grow into branches.
II. Pruning method for a plant kept for many years
The upper branches grow very long, and the tree shape may even begin to touch the ceiling, or it may become crooked. In this case, the branches need to be heavily shortened; when you can see 3-4 nodes of buds from the base of the branch, prune off the upper branch completely. With normal water and fertilizer management, in about 7-10 days, the remaining branches will sprout new branches again.
