Snake Plant Leaves Falling Over? Find the Cause and the Fix Is Simple

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
There are many reasons why snake plant leaves fall over: if it is caused by overwatering, reduce watering and place it in a cool, ventilated spot; if it is caused by sunburn, shade it or move it to a spot with indirect light; if it is caused by unsuitable temperature, adjust it to 16-30°C.

1. Reduce watering

Snake plants do not need much water during growth, so there is no need to water too much; just water once the potting soil has dried out completely. If water accumulates in the pot, raise the bottom of the pot and place the plant in a cool, ventilated spot.

2. Indirect light

Direct sunlight can scorch the epidermal cells of the snake plant, preventing photosynthesis, respiration and other physiological processes from proceeding normally, which leads to insufficient nutrients in the plant and causes yellow or falling leaves. In this case, grow the plant under shade or place it somewhere with indirect light.

3. Suitable temperature

The suitable growing temperature for snake plants is 16-30°C. If the temperature is too low, below 5°C, cold damage may occur. Place it in warm sunlight to raise the plant's temperature.
