How to Best Handle Aloe Vera Losing Leaves
1. Water in the Right Amount
1. Cause: Aloe vera is very sensitive to moisture levels. Too much water causes root rot, while too little water leaves the plant short of water. Either of these causes will make the plant drop leaves.
2. Solution: It has a certain tolerance for drought, but that does not mean it likes drought, so when watering this plant you should adjust the amount of water according to its condition. If the weather is too hot, water the roots more, soak the soil thoroughly in one go, and also mist its leaves; if the weather is not too hot, watering a small amount is enough.
2. Replace the Pot
1. Cause: Many households like to use plastic pots when growing this kind of plant, but this is actually wrong. The roots of this plant have requirements for the breathability of the pot, and plastic pots are not breathable, which affects the health of the plant's roots, so leaf drop occurs.
2. Solution: Repot the plant in a new pot, preferably a ceramic one.
3. Replace the Soil
1. Cause: It is suited to growing in soil that has good breathability and does not easily clump. If the soil it grows in does not meet the above requirements, it will affect the plant's development and cause leaf drop.
2. Solution: Simply mix sandy soil with good breathability and clay soil in a certain ratio.
