What to do if your bougainvillea won't bloom? A simple trick gets it flowering for most of the year a month from now

Bougainvillea is called leaf flower; in fact, its true flowers are the tiny white ones in the middle, and when it blooms it is very beautiful and vivid. Grown well, it can bloom for several months, and can even flower in winter,As long as you do the following few things, bougainvillea can bloom continuously all year round, with a particularly long flowering period:
Apply plenty of base fertilizer and give it enough nutrients. For potted bougainvillea, put some rotted chicken manure or cake fertilizer and bone meal at the bottom of the pot. When top-dressing, dig a hole around the edge of the pot, bury the chicken manure or cake fertilizer in it, then water thoroughly.
During the growing season, every week, add a little organic fertilizer water when watering, a small amount each time; light fertilizer applied frequently is enough. Or spray the leaves with diluted liquid fertilizer now and then.
If you want it to bloom as soon as possible, give it one round of water withholding. Leave it without watering for a while and let it dry out, and it will naturally produce flowers. Withholding water needs to be moderate: start by watering every three or four days, then water once every week or so, and when you see the leaves slightly wilting, or even a few leaves dropping, that is enough. Do not wait until all the leaves have dropped.
After about a month of this water withholding, the bougainvillea starts to open flower buds, and the branches are covered with blooms that last for several months. After the flowering period, do one pruning, cutting off some thin branches and leggy branches, so that more side shoots emerge; when the side shoots grow flower buds, only then will there be more flowers.
Bougainvillea also needs plenty of sunlight; even in the height of summer, a good baking in the sun is fine. After the flowering period, apply fertilizer in good time again: every half month, put some rotted chicken manure in the potting soil, which is especially beneficial. It will bloom in abundance.
If you want bougainvillea to bloom in winter too, it is quite simple: put the potted bougainvillea somewhere with a temperature above 20°C, and it will still bloom continuously.
