From June to August, jasmine in the south is at its most fragrant. The plant lovers around the young gardener couldn't resist the urge and also got two jasmines. Unfortunately, the courier wasn't reliable, and by the time they arrived they were almost wilted. How should they be potted up? Jasmine owners should quickly learn a few tricks. When potting up your own jasmine, these steps are essential.

1. Step one: "Shave it bald"

The first step is to "shave" the jasmine. Because when it arrived, many of its leaves were wilted, so just do as shown in the picture and shave it bare. Trim off the overly long branches too; keeping leaves like this will only delay the jasmine's adjustment to the pot. If the leaves are healthy, of course keep them. For leaves that have already wilted like this, just cut them off with scissors.

Step two: Soak the roots

The second step is soaking in water, soaking in rooting water. Before soaking, first spray water on the roots with a spray bottle to let them gain moisture first. Then when you soak them in water, there won't be any problems. Many owners overlook this direct detail: seeing a very dry jasmine seedling, they soak it straight in the pot. This sudden shift from dry to wet makes it hard for the jasmine not to have problems.

Step three: Pot in a plain pot

The third step is potting in a plain pot. These two jasmines were planted properly. When potting, there is one detail I must tell my fellow flower lovers: the soil used here is nutrient soil, on the acidic side. No base fertilizer was added here. For flower lovers without experience, I don't recommend burying base fertilizer; burying it will instead harm the jasmine. At this time, do not use fertilizer either. Wait until the jasmine sprouts new growth, then supplement fertilizer.

After the jasmine sends out branches, during the growing period we should water it with Huadongde organic nutrient solution, which strengthens roots and promotes branching, to promote rooting and branching, letting it grow roots and grow tall. When it is about to bloom, switch to watering with Huadongde organic nutrient solution that promotes and protects flowering, to encourage bud formation, so it blooms more and smells fragrant. When fertilizing, it is best to treat the cause specifically and not just supplement blindly.

The young gardener reminds jasmine owners of one thing: when caring for jasmine, we should develop a habit of testing the acidity and alkalinity of the jasmine's potting soil every two months, using simple test strips. These key points above are the basic elements for jasmine to bloom in a full burst. Only with a good foundation is there hope of a full burst of blooms.
