Proper management of commercial pig rearing requires cold protection, heat protection, and timely marketing

When raising commercial pigs, attention should be paid to cold protection, heat protection, and timely marketing
Cold protection and heat protection: The suitable temperature for fattening pig growth is 15 to 23 degrees. If the temperature is too high, feed intake decreases; if the temperature is too low, more energy is used for maintenance consumption. Both will reduce the rate of weight gain or cause weight loss. Therefore, in winter, keep pigs warm and protected from the cold, and in summer, prevent heat and lower the temperature.

Timely marketing: To determine the appropriate marketing time for lean-type fattening pigs, first consider the pig's carcass quality, second adapt to consumer requirements, and third consider economic benefits. For early-maturing, easy-fattening small pigs, marketing at 70 to 80 kg is appropriate, while for large lean-type pigs, marketing at 90 to 110 kg is appropriate.
