What environmental conditions are needed for rapid pig fattening
Environmental conditions needed for rapid pig fattening
First, suitable ambient temperature and humidity. The suitable temperature for fattening pigs is 15 to 21 degrees, and the relative humidity should be kept at 66% to 75%. Second, suitable lighting is an important condition. Fattening pig houses do not have strict lighting requirements, as long as they are convenient for feeding and management. Third, ventilation facilities must be complete: especially under conditions of high temperature and high humidity; in addition, good ventilation can effectively reduce the concentration of harmful gases. Fourth, a reasonable stocking density: 10 to 20 medium pigs per pen, with about 1 sq m of pen area per pig per day, and about 1.2 sq m for large pigs.
