Strengthen feeding management in local free-range chicken farming
Those developing local free-range chicken farming should strengthen feeding management
For the brooding period of local free-range chickens, choose high-quality complete feed and feed at fixed times and in measured portions. After feeding chicks with chick feed for 12 days, gradually switch to grower feed and then developer feed. After 1 month of age, feed with a self-mixed ration until after 60 days of age, then gradually transition to whole grains to enhance the flavor of the chicken meat.
For management, clean and disinfect the coop promptly, keep the litter dry, and wash and disinfect the feed troughs and water troughs daily. For the free-range method, plan reasonably according to the site, divide it into several plots, practice scientific rotational grazing, and release flocks in batches to avoid mixing large, medium, and small chickens.
