Methods for controlling light for meat-type breeder chickens during the rearing period
There are two aspects to controlling light: illumination intensity and duration. Controlling the light duration simply means turning the lights on and off at the scheduled times. There are generally three methods for controlling the intensity limit: one is to install more bulbs of the same wattage, with the switches divided into two groups, one group controlling the odd-numbered bulbs and the other controlling the even-numbered bulbs; another is to set up the lamp holders evenly, installing higher-wattage bulbs when greater illumination is needed and lower-wattage bulbs at ordinary times; and yet another is to install higher-wattage bulbs in all the evenly spaced lamp holders, with the lighting power supply passing through a variable-voltage transformer so that the illumination can be adjusted arbitrarily within a certain range.
