Why piglets get their mouths sticky when eating powdered creep milk replacer
Why piglets get their mouths sticky when eating creep milk replacer (powdered)
May I ask: when piglets eat creep milk replacer their mouths get sticky and palatability is poor. What is the reason, is it too much whey powder or is the extrusion degree of the extruded corn too high?

The extrusion degree of the extruded corn is too high, or too much extruded corn is added.

I support the first post. Check that the bulk density of the extruded corn is not too low, and also adjust the formula.

So can non-extruded corn be used?
--------------------------------------
Consider using half extruded corn and half non-extruded corn.
--------------------------------------
Use pellets. If using mash feed, it is suggested to use a plate or the like for creep feeding and mix it slightly wet.

Extruded corn can be omitted, but dairy products such as whey powder still have to be used.

Looking at it comprehensively, consider palatability! For piglet feed it is suggested to use pellets, with corn and extruded corn half and half~
--------------------------------------
Half mash feed + half pellets, or feed them mixed...........
--------------------------------------
Pellets are still better for piglets, whether from the perspective of growth rate or palatability, they are very good
