How long does it take to go from QC inspector to QC director? What conditions are needed?

Some people can become managers or even directors at a young age, while others work half their lives and remain at the grassroots level. Let's discuss: from the most basic QC inspector to QC director, how much time is needed and what conditions are required?

I guess you can't just coast your way there; the key is to keep the boss sweet, haha

I have two friends, both master's degree graduates and both 27 years old. One became the QC manager of a major company, managing the entire northern region; the other works as a lab technician in a small factory. What a gap.

Teacher Jinsong is right! That's just how the real world is.
Personally, I think: face, position and money are all given by others, but ability is the only thing that is truly ours. That friend doing lab work may not necessarily be worse in overall ability than the other who is a regional QC manager. Similar questions are worth thinking about and weighing for many of our capable friends.

I guess no one can give an exact time for the original poster's question. To become a QC director, the most basic requirement is that you should have the professional qualities to do the job of a QC director, and after that you should also have "opportunities"; only with both can you possibly become a QC director. In addition, as a QC director, there should be a big difference from basic QC work. A director is more importantly about having a macro-level grasp of the unit's QC system, while basic QC staff are more importantly about mastering and applying QC methods.

The friend on the 5th floor analyzed it very thoroughly. A person's career path is full of chance, and everyone has their own opportunities. It is not the question of how much time, as the original poster says.

Director?? You can reach that position by "coasting"? Looks like we should all just go out and coast, then. Hehe. It should be accumulated step by step..

This is hard to say; it depends on yourself. Normally it takes more than two years

More than 2 years???
That's too few, isn't it
With good opportunities, it's also unpredictable

The ability to do lab work is not necessarily worse than that manager's; it's just a matter of opportunity!
