Be on guard against adulteration when purchasing soybean meal
Watch out for adulterated soybean meal
After the melamine crackdown, have you noticed that soybean meal adulteration still exists, and not only at small factories but at big ones too? The soybean meal is not gritty, yet the ash content is very high and the calcium is very high. It is truly frustrating. Those of us in quality control can only keep our eyes wide open!

Everyone really needs to be careful. The formulators at soybean meal factories are clever enough these days.

Where is their conscience! It makes our formulation perform poorly and we cannot even find the reason!

Is there adulteration? We have not encountered it yet, and melamine is not detected every time we test for it.

Only wheat and corn flour have been seen as adulterants.

So we must work hard to improve our microscopic examination skills. If anyone finds something, report it here!

Adulteration with wheat and corn should be visible by the senses, but adulteration with chemicals is very hard to see. Besides melamine, other substitutes appeared long ago. I hear there is a calcium azide, and crude ash must be tested

It is truly impossible to guard against. Everyone must raise their vigilance. If you find that a brand has been adulterated, please speak up.
