How to divide the feeding stages of complete feed for pigs in the most scientific way

General News 0 views
How should the feeding stages of complete feed for pigs be divided most scientifically?
With the development of large-scale pig farming, there is a trend toward more detailed division of pig feeding stages. But at the present stage, the legally stipulated feeding stages for finishing pigs are three stages: 15-30kg, 30-60kg, and 60kg to slaughter. A couple of days ago, in the magazine "Swine Production," I saw that the finishing stages for Large White and Landrace are two stages: 25-50kg and 50-100kg. The current actual situation in Northeast China is that piglets weigh 8-9kg at weaning, are raised to 12-13kg and then switched to finishing, and at around 40kg they begin to be switched to a medium pig feed formula; some are fed directly to slaughter, while others are switched to large pig feed at around 70kg. In short, there is still no unified standard (the stage divisions in the National Standard for Pollution-Free Pig Production - 2004 are still rarely adopted), so what more scientific division standards can be used for reference?

Our company uses 0 to 7 days after weaning:
-——20kg
——60kg
-- to slaughter.

Birth -- one week after weaning -- 42 days of age -- 60 days of age -- 90 days -- 120 days -- 150 days

Thanks for your interest! The basis for division is first body weight, and second days of age. For large-scale pig farms, the latter is probably more important.
--------------------------------------
Body weight should be the standard for division.
--------------------------------------
Is it really body weight or days of age? It is really hard to distinguish now. How does everyone handle it when filing for records?
--------------------------------------
It is determined according to the farming situation.
--------------------------------------
I think it should still be divided by body weight, and the specific body weight stages should still be determined by each pig farm according to its own actual situation.
--------------------------------------
Personally, I think dividing by time is more reasonable, easier to manage, and suitable for intensification.
--------------------------------------
As farming scale grows larger and larger, dividing by time may be more reasonable.

This issue has been debated for a long time. For intensive farming, dividing by time is more reasonable. But what about small-scale farming?
