How to select cuttings for juniper propagation and when to take cuttings for the highest survival rate?
    1. Cutting medium: use sterilized and inactivated sandy soil or vermiculite; when preparing the bed, choose plowed and sun-dried soil.

2. Cutting time: before new branches sprout in early spring or during the rainy season; the rainy season is mostly used.

3. Cutting selection: for early spring cuttings, use semi-lignified branches from the previous year; for the rainy season, use new branches after growth has stopped, cut from below the branching point of the previous year's new branch where it joins the previous year's branch; after cutting, pull the branch off by hand so the wound is heel-shaped, with a branch length of 7-10 cm.

4. Inserting cuttings: after watering the soil thoroughly, make holes with a wooden stick or bamboo skewer of the corresponding diameter, place the cuttings in the holes so they stand upright. Firm the soil around them and keep the soil moist.

5. Heat and moisture retention: use a small plastic film tunnel, and add a shade net when sunlight is too strong. Under high temperature and high humidity conditions, rooting occurs in 60-70 days. After rooting, remove the shading material, ventilate to harden the plants, and they can be transplanted and planted out after about a month.
