What are the labor protection issues in feed testing work?
Labor protection issues in feed testing work
The laboratory often deals with chemicals, and chemicals can affect pregnant and nursing women. I wonder how everyone arranges the work of laboratory technicians in this regard? So that female employees are taken care of and the boss can accept it too!

Actually, if you operate according to the correct methods and are not in that environment for long periods, there is generally basically no effect, so there is no need to worry.

Being affected is certain, but there is no way when it comes to making a living. The company does not consider those things at all; what they pursue is profit.

Even if you are extra careful, the sulfur trioxide produced by digestion, the ethylenediamine used when testing calcium, malachite green, and ether will more or less be exposed in the air,,,, all of it will more or less be bad for the body,,, over time... sigh..

Let me take a look...............

But it really is impossible to transfer out, and the workshop is not possible either. It seems quality control has to deal with drugs, additives, and so on! With nothing to do, the boss probably will not agree.

For pregnant female employees, relatively speaking, doing workshop quality control may still be slightly better: first, moving around more is good for childbirth (if the workshop is on night shift, that will not work); although there are mineral additives and drug additives, wear gloves and a mask when sampling, and monitoring production conditions does not necessarily mean always standing on site. Under special circumstances, allow yourself to "look from afar" (if it were me, I would do this haha), and master the working methods well; in the laboratory, once you are shut in, it is for a whole day, and if ventilation is poor, the laboratory is filled with the smell of chemicals every day...
Being able to keep working during pregnancy and nursing is, first, a necessity of life; after all, finding a job is not easy now; second, being able to work during pregnancy makes life more regular and fuller, and also keeps you from becoming disconnected from society...

If the girls in the laboratory are pregnant and still working, they can first be assigned to warehouse management, responsible for issuing finished products or receiving raw materials into the warehouse.
--------------------------------------
First, the laboratory should ensure good ventilation. In addition, individuals should take corresponding protective measures to minimize harm to the body.
--------------------------------------
Malachite green can be omitted, ether can be replaced with petroleum ether, and other organic solvents should be used as little as possible. Pay more attention at ordinary times. I have done testing all my life and still have not found anything inappropriate.
--------------------------------------
Overall, feed testing does very little harm to the human body. Of course, during testing, personal protection must be done properly. Do not touch reagents directly with your hands, and tests with volatile substances must be completed in a fume hood.
Improve testing conditions and promptly do the ideological work of employees well.
Personally, I think there is no need to change posts.

Our factory never uses female quality controllers or female lab technicians (to be clear, this is not discrimination)! It has avoided quite a few troubles haha.
