The pattern of digestible amino acids! I would like to ask all the teachers and Dr. Wang!
Through this meeting, I heard many professionals advocate using digestible amino acids for formulation, especially for laying hens. However, I checked some materials, including the new feeding standards just issued in our country and the NRC ones, and somehow none of them have nutritional indicators for digestible amino acids. Teachers, how do you do it when formulating? Could you provide a student with some materials on digestible amino acids for pigs and poultry and amino acid balance patterns? Thank you!

Data like this is the result of the painstaking efforts of many feed companies. With one sentence from you, it sounds especially easy.
Once you have your own children, you will understand how hard it was for your parents back then. When you are a child, you take many things for granted.
--------------------------------------
Thank you for Teacher Wang's guidance. Then which aspect should I start from? I have also read some materials, and one said digestible amino acids can be calculated as 90% of the NRC data. Do you think this is reasonable?
--------------------------------------
This is a time-consuming and laborious difficult project. I suggest you look for the latest professional books, and at the same time start doing some animal experiments bit by bit yourself to verify the data in the books. The results you obtain yourself are usable by you. If you want to systematically master such data, I suggest you go back to study, and broaden your thinking first.

Look up the digestibility and utilization rate of each amino acid, then just apply a safety factor when designing the formula. As for the amino acid balance pattern, go to your own company's formula files and find the formula for the same variety with the best results, and see what the ratios among the amino acids are. That should be relatively balanced; this is the result tested by the market. I think there is no need to make it so complicated! I wonder whether all the experts agree with this view?

I agree with Yu's view.

The American Soybean Association materials have them. Grian Coon's are very good, and there are ones for both laying hens and broilers. I formulate according to this, and the response is very good.

For pigs, the NRC ones can also be applied. For data on raw material amino acid digestibility, the AMPIG data are very good. It should be said that this is currently the most recognized set of data.

The NRC nutritional indicators are based on corn-soybean meal diets, and amino acid digestibility is based on an average value of 86%. Through calculation, the nutritional requirement data for digestible amino acids can be obtained.

If you calculate the formula according to the ideal amino acids of digestible amino acids, it is already very difficult to calculate up to tryptophan. The requirements for raw materials, formulation software, and formulators are all relatively high. I suggest you follow this line of thinking and revise the raw material database and formula model step by step. Over time, it will accumulate. This is a long work and cannot be accomplished overnight. Feed formulas made this way are not necessarily the cheapest, but they are certainly the most economical. Therefore, for a feed mill, promoting this kind of feed also requires corresponding supporting work, such as training for sales staff, farmers, and dealers.

Very good! Support.

The materials can be downloaded from the American Soybean Association website.

May I ask Brother Xiaoma, I cannot find the Grian Coon and AMPIG data on the American Soybean Association website.

The Ampig database is research jointly done by Ajinomoto and the French National Institute for Agricultural Research. You can request it from the Ajinomoto Beijing office. It is a CD. Tell me an email address and see whether it can be sent to you. It is a bit large.

Brother Xiaoma, could you send me a copy, [email protected]. Thanks!!!!
